All peregrines banded as chicks this year in Virginia should have received a
green anodized band from the BBL on the right leg and an alpha-numeric green
and black color band on the left leg (image at
http://fsweb.wm.edu/ccb/vafalcons/vacons/monitor.htm). Maryland, and other
eastern states, also use this green and black color band and non-anodized
BBL bands. None of our falcons with satellite transmitters are currently in
that area. We have 1 in NYC, 1 in Baltimore, 2 in Florida, and 1 in
Honduras. You can track them at
http://fsweb.wm.edu/ccb/vafalcons/falconhome.cfm. If the color band had a
code and could be read it most likely could be identified.
