Bonnie & Susan,
The Raptor Conservancy (http://www.raptorsva.org/) is a local group.  I 
really don't know much about them but Kent Knowles, their founder (?), is 
somewhere in the Fx area and has done a couple very passionate programs for 
the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy..
