Another lone Pine Siskin joined the enormous flock of Goldfinches and half
dozen or so Purple Finches at our sunflower feeder yesterday morning.
The Brown Creepers seem to be moving through in waves. I usually see one or two
each day along the edge of our tiny wooded swamp, but every two or three days I
have seen upwards of 6 to 10 at the same time, and yesterday there were 8 on
the same group of trees within 5 minutes. Also the Sapsuckers are obviously
moving in numbers too. For the last week I have seen a dozen or more most every
day.
