This is a late report, but Rexanne Bruno had a single Yellow-crowned
Night-Heron at College Lake on the campus of Lynchburg College in Lynchburg
this past Monday (5/20) morning as she was preparing to leave town.
Subsequent searches have not turned up the bird. There are only a few
spring records and one fall record of this species in our local area.
