On my way home (anything not more than 30 miles out of the way)last
evening, 6 April, I stopped at Lake Shenandoah and Leonard's Pond. I
found my first Solitary Sandpiper for the spring and a lone Pectoral
Sandpiper at Leonard's Pond. Cheryl Lyon reported to me that the Horned
Grebe, a Pied-billed Grebe and a female Common Merganser are on Silver
Lake this morning.
