I'm trying to improve our bird information on the Blue Ridge Parkway and
would appreciate any reports from trips along the Parkway. I've been
enjoying many reports from recent trips and have been busy adding the
information to our database.
While I know people are reporting for a more general audience I would be
grateful for any specific locations rather than just a list of birds
reported from a county along the Parkway or one that covers a long section
of the Parkway. Some reports list species seen on the Parkway with birds
seen in other areas and I'm not sure which to include in our database.
Reports, especially for significant sightings, listing the milepost,
developed area, etc. would be very helpful. If you want to email me
separately rather than post on VA-Birds that would be fine with me. My

In case you aren't aware of it, we do have bird lists for four sections of
the Parkway, including one in VA that Clyde Kessler did for us. We will
have one for the northern VA part of the Parkway that Clyde also did as
soon as I can get it on our server. The address is
