I am posting this for Jeff Blalock since he is having problems with his email.
Jeff observed a Pacific Loon at Palmer's Point at Kerr Reservoir in Mecklenburg
County, VA on Sunday Jan 1, 2006. This is the same area where Adam D'Onofrio
found this species Dec 2003 which was seen off and on through March 2004. Jeff
also had a Red-throated Loon here on Jan 1.
To reach Palmer's Point take Rt 4 across the main dam at Kerr Reservoir and
continue southeast for several miles to Palmer Point Rd and turn right.
Continue on this road to the the entrance for Palmer Point Recreation Area.
Enter and proceed to the parking area. Look for the Pacific Loon here off the
point past the picnic shelter.
