I had a nice 2 hour walk at Occoquan NWR this morning. Cold, but no wind. The
highlights were a common yellowthroat near the intersection of Charlie Rd. and
Deephole Pt. Rd., 9 sparrow species, pied-billed grebe, and northern harrier.
Most of the water was frozen, even the river, but there were some openings that
contained ducks. Most of the waterfowl were seen from Taylor Pt along the
opposite shore.
