Hello, birders.

The highlights of my trip to Occoquan Bay NWR on
Saturday were viewing several migrating raptors.
Several Am. Kestrels were heading south, stopping to
hover hunt over the grassland.  An accipiter and 2
harriers were seen, too.  2 Bald Eagles were over the
bay.

There were lots of sparrows in the refuge but I didn't
get good looks at most of them so they went
unidentified.  I did manage to ID Savannah, Song and
White-crowned Sparrows.

Robins, Red-winged Blackbirds, and Yellow-rumped
Warblers were common.
