Virginia birders,
A distinctly slower and less diverse but still interesting 90 minutes (0700
- 0830 a.m.) this morning at Observatory Hill in Charlottesville. It was
worth getting up early if only because I had opportunities to visit with
several birders I haven't seen for awhile.
This morning's O Hill warbler troop included at least NASHVILLE,
BLACK-THROATED BLUE, BLACK-THROATED GREEN, WORM-EATING, YELLOW-RUMPED,
BLUE-WINGED (outstanding views of a singing male, also worth getting up
early for by itself), and HOODED.
