The Northern Virginia Teen Bird Club sponsored by
the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia and
Flint Hill School is planning their annual
May-visit to Delaware Bay this Saturday May 19.
We will leave Flint Hill School's West Campus
(3320 Jermantown Rd, Oakton, Fairfax County) at 6
AM and return at about 6 PM. This will be a day
of intense birding, trying to see as many species
as we can. We also hope to see lots of horseshoe
crabs mating and laying eggs. Space is limited on
this very popular trip so let Mr Atwood know if
you plan to attend asap. Students in grades 8-12
are welcome. Bring lunch, water, sunscreen, and
bug-repellant. We will have some spare binoculars
and some spotting scopes to share.
