Please join us on Thursday, February 19th 2004 for "On the Trail With
Bluebirds", a presentation by Julie Kutruff. Julie is president of the
Virginia Bluebird Society and manager of Upton Hill Regional Park in Arlington.
Her program highlights the nesting cycle of bluebirds, explores the "ins" and
"outs" of successfully managing bluebird trails and discusses some of the
surprises Julie has encountered along the way. You will learn about other
"critters" that sometimes inhabit bluebird boxes including the beautiful and
graceful Tree Swallow. Props, hand-outs and other visuals (such as a sample
nestbox) will be displayed throughout the evening. Come early and look around
at the Cavity Nester's Fair! Questions and stories of your own experiences
will be welcome!
Early Bird Refreshments at 7:30. The meeting starts at 8:00 p.m., but come
early for refreshments and conversation with old and new friends. And time to
see all the Bluebird related items on display. There will be a drawing for a
door prize, maybe even more than one! You have to be there to win, so come join
us!
