Hi all,

I live in Iowa currently but am a native Virginian
(Waynesboro). Will be visiting Va. in mid-August and
will have an overnight trip to the DC area to see
relatives. I thought I'd do some mid-day and afternoon
birding around the DC area before meeting the
relatives in the evening. Huntley Meadows seems like a
good area from what I read on the list. Could someone
post me directions from Waynesboro to Huntley Meadows?
I would appreciate it very much as I don't know the DC
area well for driving and would like to avoid getting
lost :-)

Also, if anyone would like to suggest other spots for
Northern Va. birding I'd be interested. I've only been
birding seriously for about a year now so there are
still lots of new bird sightings for me to find.

I've been following with much interest the postings
from Augusta, Highland, Rockingham and Albemarle
Counties and have kept notes on birding areas there.
I'll be checking out some of those places too while
I'm in the Shenandoah Valley.

Thank you very much!
