I was on Normans Ford Road for about 1.5 hours yesterday determined to get
my Longspur (I did). I feel bad that I might have been part of the problem.
I stayed up relatively near Summerduck Road - just turned around at the end
of the Normans Ford and came back out because of the private property sign
and the feeling that I was in somebody's back yard (I was). This was a lot
less "noble" than I'm making it sound. I already have a Say's on my list
and was much more interested in the Longspur. Would I have pushed it,
otherwise? Yeah, I'm sad to say, probably. As it was, I was pretty much in
somebody's front yard for quite a while. So, please, if anybody's got some
ideas...
The highlight (in addition to the Longspur) was a "choir" of about 40
Eastern Meadowlarks. (no Gray Ghost or Peregrine, though)
