Hello Birders..
We took a trip to Kiptopeke on Sunday, but got there too late in the morning.
At that time of day, the nets were pretty nuch empty, but Jethro Runco ( a very
nice guy) was kind enough to show us a few birds. I have them posted here.. The
Common Yellowthroat was a first for me.

Then we went along up to Cape Charles and I took a few pictures there. No sign
of Ned Brinkley lurking around..heh heh. I wish he had been.
OK..I am stumped on these few. Even my new bird book (the large Sibley)was no
help.
The images are pretty bad, but you still may be able to ID the bird in
question..
#1 -Is this a warbler? I'm embarrassed to say I can't seem to figure out which
one

#2 - Is this a Solitary Sandpiper?

#3 - Could this be a Snowy Egret? The yellow lores made me think it was, but it
doesn't appear to have any plumes. Maybe it's just worn.

#4 - The last one. These birds were flitting around in a dense pine tree. Very
hard to get a good image. Is this a female Redstart? (I'm probably way off on
this one)

Again, my apologies for the poor images, and for learning as I shoot.
We did have a wonderful day, so thanks to all who post info on these great
birding spots!
Thanks for your help (again)
