Some 8 members of the Northern Virginia Bird Club enjoyed the warm sunny
conditions this morning at the Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve in Loudoun County.
Highlights include the later fall season migrants such as Blue-headed Vireos
, both Kinglets ,Chipping , Savannah Sparrows and winter residents such as
White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Junco . Also an immature Red-headed
Woodpecker sighted at the beaver pond gives hope that they have returned after
a
