Had a little time this a.m. to walk around Ben Breneman Park, next to Cameron
Station (Duke St) Alexandria. Saw two NRW Swallows, one of which was picking
up small pieces of mulch off the brick patio on the lake shore. It then flew
southish over the treeline of Backlick Creek. Did this repeatedly, so looks
good for nesting. Also Baltimore Oriole building nest in big Sycamore next to
iron bridge that goes over Backlick to the picnic area. Northern Water Snake
swimming in the pond. One lone YELLOW WARBLER...
