I had a single house wren checking out my bird bath this morning. Ive
always been impressed by the simultaneity of their arrival. Most years, I
ll see one early scout, followed by the main body a day latter. A RC
kinglet was also enjoying a bath, and a parula sang nearby. Otherwise, the
neighborhood, including White Oaks, was quiet: just a smattering of
yellow-rumps and kinglets.
