On a very hot and sticky day eight birders wandered their way across the board
walk and down the run. We saw 42 species of birds, mostley south of the tower.
Two deer in the meadow, red-admiral butterflies and lots of dragonflies. Of
interest was a green heron eating a small snake, it smashed it on a log before
eating it.
