Greetings to all:
On Tuesday May 25, 2004, while at my wife's parents home I saw a Mississippi
Kite flying around for about 20 minutes. It was flying in the same general
area from Runt Powell's farm but just to the west of the hill top instead of
northeast of it.
Runt's farm is located on St Rd 716 (Wolftrap Rd) 2.5 miles off of Hwy 360 in
Halifax County. Turn left at the driveway just after the church parking lot on
the left at the top of the hill, drive up to the red barn and scan the area
straight in front of you. On May 18 a kite flew right over my head at this
location.
I was delighted to see one again as I searched for them for several hours on
Saturday May 22 and on Sunday May 23 with a NO show on both days.
