The memorial service for Bill Cross will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday,
September 26, 2004, at Fort C. F. Smith Park in Arlington, Virginia. During
the
service, a bench will be dedicated in Bill's memory near the Bird Stream that
he designed for the park. A short reception will follow in the Hendry House
(the main building in the park).
Directions to Fort Smith Park are printed in the Northern Virginia Bird
Club (NVBC) newsletter, THE SISKIN, with the Field Trips schedule. You can

For anyone who might not have received the previous e-mail, Bill Cross
died suddenly, and totally unexpectedly, of an apparent heart attack on August
8. He was a member of NVBC's Board of Directors and a field trip leader. He
was 61.
