The November issue of the SISKIN, the newsletter of the Northern
Virginia Bird Club, contains an article on birding at Meadowood Farm,
written by Ken Hollinga. He provides directions for the first of
several planned public paths, the Wood Thrush Trail, which was opened
in April. It can be reached from U.S. Rte. 1 by going east on Gunston
Road (toward Mason Neck) about one mile to Belmont Road, turning right
(south) and going about one mile to the well-marked Meadowood Farm
entrance on your left. The trail is open 8:00 am - 5 pm daily.
The SISKIN can now be downloaded from the bird club's website in pdf
format at http://www.nvabc.org/
