[va-bird] Mason Neck SP 3/9: CASPIAN TERN, GRTR YELLOWLEGS

Birders,

Below is the list of birds I spotted today as I went about my Sunday routine here at the park. Highlights were a lone GREATER YELLOWLEGS wandering about the mudflats at the low-tide edge of Belmont Bay, an OSPREY buzzing the marsh, and a CASPIAN TERN hunting for fish over the bay.

Ring-billed Gull
Caspian Tern
Mourning Dove

Belted Kingfisher
Downy Woodpecker (hammering at a dry cattail reed??)

Hermit Thrush
American Robin
Northern Cardinal

White-throated Sparrow
