So, if we can't forward anything, here is the report below (Manassas CBC,
sector 3 - along Bull Run from Bull Run Park to below Bull Run Marina):
It was a beautiful day today! But a little slow as far as the birds were
concerned. Neverthless, we jointly found 55 species. Last year we had 63
species, and we had 64 in 2000. Compared to last year, we missed Gadwall,
Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, Hooded Merganser, Sharp-shinned Hawk,
American Woodcock, Barred Owl, Eastern Phoebe, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown
Thrasher, Fox Sparrow, Swamp Sparrow, Purple Finch and House Sparrow (14
species - several of which were missed for the count as a whole). Off-setting
these species were 6 that we did not have last year: American Black Duck,
Common Merganser, American Kestrel, Herring Gull, Common Grackle and Pine
Siskin.
