A bit late on this post. - My annual weekend trip to Seven Oaks, a 130 acre
used to be farm, now a retreat center, last weekend (June 19-20) yielded two
adult Bald Eagles perched in a large Sycamore that overhangs the Rapidan River
-
which in the area of Seven Oaks (just west of Rt 29) is the border between
Madison and Greene Cos....seemed a bit out of place, but still nice to see.
Other nice birds included Bobwhites, Chats, WTurkey w/young, Prairie and Pine
Warbler - no Woodcocks buzzing us at the campfire Saturday nite...oh well...
