At 1230 today, March 26, 2003, there were 34 Tundra Swans at the Stone Bridge
on the Potomac just south of Alexandria on the Mount Vernon Parkway. There
were also Rudy Ducks, Ringed-billed Gulls, Great Black-backed Gulls, DC
Cormorants, Osprey, American Crows, Fish Crows, Carolina Wrens, Common
Grackles, European Starlings, Northern Cardinals, Song Sparrows and two
Towhees.
Not a bad lunch in the bright sunshine before the rain.
