To the majority of the 850 subscribers to VA-Bird that follow the guidelines
of the listserv:
I apologize for the small percentage of posters who want to post everything
about birds, nature, and the environment on VA-Bird. I am constantly
advising them, off-list and on, that VA-Bird is only for reporting birds and
birding in Virginia. You have told me that you want to read VA-Bird for
those specific topics, and that there are many other sources of non-Virginia
information on the Internet.
Since the listserv is open to all, and the owners do not read posts before
they are published, we will have to put up with the small population that
thinks it cute, funny and informative to give us the latest Internet scoop
about anything they think relevant. Please wade through this trivia to get
to the Virginia birding information.
For all subscribers:
Any post to VA-Bird that contains a personal attack is prohibited, no matter
what the topic.
Please remember to end all posts with your full name and location.
For spring birders, and during this weekend especially, there is no such
thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. Good luck.
