It was at least a 14 warbler morning at Leesylvania Park on Wednesday.
Yellow-rumped Warbler continues to dominate, the other warblers seen or heard
were all in the low single-digit range. They were: Parula, Yellow,
Black-Throated Blue, Yellow-rumped, Black-throated Green, Yellow-Throated,
Prairie, Palm, Redstart, Worm-eating, Ovenbird, LA Waterthrush, and Common
Yellowthroat. Also, a Prothonotary was seen by two other birders.
Sightings of Scarlet Tanager, Orchard and Baltimore Orioles, and Indigo
Buntings added considerable color to the morning. Back home, a Rose-breasted
Grosbeak was bathing in one of the bird pools putting the azaleas blossoms to
shame.
