VA BIRDers,
Slow going at Leesylvania SP this morning - I arrived late (ca. 0730) and
may have missed a few and there was a slight breeze from the south. In any
case, I had to work to pull out the few birds that I could find. Highlight
was an adult Black-billed Cuckoo (my first of this season). Also a
Philadelphia Vireo - curiously, one of the first birds I observed on the Lee
ruins hillside. I birded the park in the usual manner described by others
before. The list of notables follows.
