On a walk around Lake Royal this morning, my husband and I found at least three
palm warblers near the playground in the trees next to the lake. We had great
views. Two more were on the other side near the tennis courts along with two
gold finch.
The coot was sunning itself on a log and the pied-billed grebe was still
swimming around in the lake. One great blue heron was in the water and another
perched in a tree. We saw a yellow-rumped warbler in the wooded walk. All the
regulars were there plus quite a few white-throated sparrows. A phoebe was
looking to nest under the bridge over the creek from Commonwealth Blvd.
