Hello all
Yesterday morning Pat & I lead a field trip to Lake Moomaw Bath County . Only
one person showed up & we took off to see what we could find . Virginia Jones
has never been to this area & it was a real treat for her to see the great
views of landscapes of the mountains of Bath County . The birds were few in
between & waterfowl was very low numbers as well as species . We ran into John
Irvine & his little group from the Harrisonburg Club & he even stated that the
waterfowl was very disappointing also. On our way back I took Virginia to some
of the places in Swoope & we added a few more birds to the list . Highlights of
the trip were a first year Bald Eagle , Golden -- crown Kinglet's & Pine
Warbler's which we all got great looks at . Below is a complete list of birds
seen yesterday .

Birds were few but good company made the day with the great unspoiled views of
Bath County .
