Hola Birders,

Kiptopeke is alive with birds now despite that may be a result of the burst
of north winds we received yesterday.  Below are some
recent interesting sightings from the platform and around the park.

Platform:
2) Golden Eagles today
1) Northern Goshawk yesterday
1) Yellow-headed Blackbird today courtesy of Bob Anderson
1) Ash-throated Flycatcher continuing.
many thousands of Common Grackle with slightly fewer Red-winged Blackbirds
Red-throated Loons are now frequently seen flying over throughout the day
30) Tree Swallow today
Red-tails continue to move through in nice numbers, a great variety of size
and plumage makes these one of my favorites.

Maddox Pond today:
3) Redhead
2) Common Moorhen
8) Green-winged Teal
1) Northern Pintail
10) Gadwall
6) American Widgeon
1) Mallard
18) Ring-necked Duck
6) Bufflehead
57) Canada Goose
10) American Coot
4) Pied-billed Grebe

Good birding,
-Sam Stuart
