Hello from the eastern shore.
So we missed three days of monitoring due to hurricane Isabel, but we are back
up and running here at Kiptopeke. Below are the counts from the last three
days. We had rain today 9/23 for a couple of hours this morning. No
monitoring occurred today between 0800-1000 EST today.
Also, we had a couple of interesting sightings on Saturday 9/21: a juv.
peregrine with a satellite transmitter and green color bands on both legs was
seen, as well as a sharp-shinned with a white tail tag. If anyone has
information on who is putting tail tags on sharpies, or doing satellite
telemetry with peregrines, please let me know. Thanks
