I spent the afternoon at Kerr Reservoir in Mecklenburg county today.
The Red-throated Loon (1) and the Snow Buntings (5) were seen. I
searched Palmer Point for an hour for the Pacific Loon but could not
find it. Other birds found today included Pied-billed Grebe, Horned
Grebe, Great Blue Heron, Bufflehead, Gadwall, Redhead (2 males),
Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup ( 2 flocks), Hooded Merganser, Bald
Eagle, Red-headed Woodpecker, Eastern Phoebe, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and
Eastern Meadowlark. Good birding.
