My son and I were up at Jeremy's Run in the Senandoah yesterday (April
24), he fishing and I birding. The warbers are returning, though numbers
were not yet very large. I saw and heard 5 N. Parula, one male
Blackburnian in full sun (!), 2 Black-throated Green, one Bland-and white,
1 ovenbird, and 3 LA Waterthrush. Also saw a single Wood Thrush (not
singing), 4 Blue-headed Vireo, one red-eyed vrieo, 3 Blue-gray
Gnatcatchers, a Braod-winged Hawk, and 1 winter wren.
And my son had ten brook trout (catch and release).
