Mike Maupin & I birded the 42nd St. section of JRP from 7-9ish this am.
Mainly late migrants are still coming through, so we are still seeing lots of
Blackpolls ( and no Y-R Warblers today for the first time this Spring), but
most noteworthy were, seen from the steps going down from the Parking Lot to
the bridge, in the same tree, killer and lengthy looks at the same time of
male Wilson's and Canada Warblers. Also of note in the Parking Lot are 2
trees filled with berries which were filled with Cedar Waxwings, Robins, 2
Swainson's Thrushes, and the very brightly colored male Summer Tanager (which
has been here for several days and is very unusual for this location).
