[va-bird] Indian Summer/Huntley Meadows 11/21

Almost a non-post, the conditions Fri. afternoon at Huntley Meadows park 
(Fairfax Co.) were too phenomenal not to mention.  Cobalt blue sky, cobweds and 
ripe cat-tails glistening in sunlight, blood red sunset with Venus declining, 
plus the following:

GB Heron - 3 (one flying after dark 6' over walkway)
Gulls -- 2
Bufflehead -- 3
Mallards -- 15+
C. Geese -- 50+
Woodcock -- 1 (flying west across pond at dark)
G. yellowlegs -- 1
Barred Owl -- 3 (1 hunting in woods before sunset, 2 heard at dusk)
M. dove -- 3
Flickers -- 20+
D. woodpecker -- 2
RH woodpecker -- 1
Pileated "  -- 1
song sparrow -- 4
WT sparrow -- 6
RW blackbird -- 3
blue jay -- 1 (h)
starlings -- several flocks

critters:  2 brown bats at sunset; chorus of frogs at dark
