All:
Spent Friday morning and this morning at Huntley Meadows Park. Both mornings I
was present from about 6am - 9am. This morning I shared the boardwalk with the
7am Monday Morning Birdwalk, plus a plethora of other rail-seeking birders.
The Friday highlight for me was a steady stream of groups of common loons
migrating overhead (plus purple finches at the VC feeders). Monday brought
great looks at sora and Virginia rail. A handful of warblers, shorebirds,
swallows, and some of the earlier migrants adding up to great variety. About
70
species accross both days, I think.
