Despite the cloudy and windy weather conditions, the Northern Virginia Bird
Club had a fairly interesting walk at Huntley Meadows today. Highlights
included a female Northern Harrier cruising the marsh for lunch, 3 Ospreys, a
Common Snipe flying overhead, both kinglet species, and six species of
warblers, including 19 Palm Warblers in the marsh. Sparrow numbers are still
fairly low.
