I was the lone birder for quite a while at Huntley starting at about 7:15 am
this morning. Highlight was the BARRED OWL found when it started being
mobbed by crows. It was about 20 yards down the path that splits off to the
east just before getting to the boardwalk. I was actually out on the
boardwalk when I saw the mobbing begin. I got a really good but brief look,
including seeing one of the crows fly right at its face. Finally owl and
crows flew off deeper into the woods.
