On a cloudy, cool December 12, ten birders met at Huntley Meadows for the
weekly 7:00 am bird walk led by John and Barbara Perry. The boardwalk was icy
but manageable and the snow-covered woods beautiful.
The highlight of the morning was a flock of a dozen AMERICAN PIPITS
happily foraging on the ice very close to the boardwalk.

After the walk the group adjourned to Arlene's home for a delicious
brunch for which we all offer our thanks.
