Temperatures in the low 40s, and a fierce wind with very strong gusts made
today's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning birding somewhat challenging. The wild
weather coupled with the absence of regulars away traveling kept the
participants this morning to only 4. We had 35 species, the highlights of
which were a couple of Belted Kingfishers, a Bald Eagle, and a somewhat
diminished, but still credible host of ducks.
