Twelve birders joined the Monday Morning bird walk at Huntley Meadows on
November 27. It was a cool, misty morning in the 40's with the sun occasionally
peaking through the fog. The highlight of the morning was a juvenile Peregrine
Falcon on a dead tree in Barnyard Run off the informal trail. We watched it for
over a half hour. Finally it took an ineffectual pass at a Green-winged Teal.
The bird had two bands: Green and dark on the left leg with what appeared to be
60 60 and Y; black on the right leg. The group observed a total of 36
species.
