The Monday Morning Bird Walk at Huntley was beautiful today. Nice to have
clear skies and a bit of sun for a change. I don't have time for a full
list, but here are some notables:
-ruddy duck (1, hen)
-green-winged teal (1, drake)
-female merganser w/5 little ones in tow
-cliff swallow (3+)
-cooper's hawk (1, immature - low over the marsh causing quite a ruckus)
-a handful of lingering white-throated sparrows
Warblers:
common yellowthroat
northern waterthrush - 1
redstart - 3+
black & white - 3+
blackpoll - lots
northern parula - 2
black-throated blue - 2
magnolia - 3
ovenbird - 2
yellow rumps - 10
