At Hunting Creek late this morning were 8 species of shorebird,
including a single white-rumped sandpiper. Other species included least
sandpiper, semi-palmated sandpiper, pectoral sandpiper (many),
short-billed dowitcher, greater yellowlegs, lesser yellowlegs, and
killdeer. Also on the mud flats were numerous Forster's terns, a few
Caspian terns, laughing gull, ring-billed gull, and greater black-backed
gull.
