Hi VAbirders,
Did anyone else note a little push of these species today (Wednesday)? I
had at least 6 hermits (1 singing) and 3-4 flickers in White Oaks
Park. Also my first palm warbler of the year and 3 ruby-crowned kinglets
(2 singing). Feels like spring, no?

On his way to school yesterday, my son stopped briefly at Eakin Park on
Prosperity (between Route 50 & 236, in Fairfax County). He was hoping to
get a look at the Barred Owls, which he missed, but did report a Hermit
Thrush, his FOS. He also noted an adult male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
