It was a beautiful day for hawkwatching, clear views, blue skies with
scattered clouds and brisk NW winds that weren't too cold. Tad Finnell kept the
count
today and we tallied 128 individuals including 83 Sharpies, 3 Merlins and 4
Bald Eagles. An adult Bald Eagle flew by at 1:15pm EST close enough that we
could see an antenna attached to the base of it's tail. Does anyone know of a
tracking project that might involve this bird? We would certainly like to know
more about it. A flock of 35 Tundra Swans flew by the lookout at 11:00am EST
heading SE. Other migrants included 2 Tree Swallows and a few Blue Jays.
