There were 2 female Harlequin Ducks at Yorktown Beach today. Bill
Williams first reported the ducks this morning. John and Marilyn Adair and I
observed the ducks around 3 this afternoon. They were swimming along the
piers
just south of the Coleman Bridge. Despite the number of people out
enjoying the weather, the HADUs appeared at ease and only flew when a boat got
close to them. Hopefully this means they will stay awhile for others to
enjoy.
