Third straight day we've been shut down.
TODAY'S WEATHER:
OCCASIONAL LIGHT RAIN OR DRIZZLE. FREEZING DRIZZLE POSSIBLE IN THE MORNING
ABOVE 1500 FEET. COOL WITH HIGHS IN THE LOWER 40S.
NORTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 80 PERCENT.
Currently, at 9:25 a.m., it's 34 degrees with wind out of
NE at 7 mph. on Afton Mountain with low clouds and rain. Video cam is not
operating at the moment.
We've had well over 1" of much needed rain in past 24 hours with totals
close to 2" the past 48 hours.
Charlottesville, Albemarle County area total usable water supply is at
75.9% this morning.

PARTLY CLOUDY AND CONTINUED COOL. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 40S.
NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 10 MPH.
Cold Temps, partly cloudy skies and breezy Thursday, Friday and into the
weekend all conducive to movement of Red-tails. Bring out the woolies and
hot chocolate!

The Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch is held on the grounds of the Inn at Afton, located
on the southern side of Rockfish Gap in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just above
where I-64 (exit 99) intersects with the southern end of the Skyline Drive and
the northern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, just east of Waynesboro, VA and
approximately 22 miles west of Charlottesville, VA.
