Weather:
Rain moved through leaving behind heavy fog on east side of ridge throughout
the morning. Top of ridge and to west pretty clear with North wind 12-19
km/h. By 11 a.m. EST winds dimished significantly and shifted to out of the
East that pulled in the fog up and over the ridge reducing visibility. Sun
was heating things up and fog soon lifted but winds remained out of the East
between 3-9 km/h.
Temp: 22c > 28c by 12 EST then dropping to 25.5c;
Humidity: 81% dropping to 61% then back up to 70%
Bar.Pressure: 1017<1013;
Cloud Cover: Partly cloudy giving way to mostly clear skies by 3p.m. EST.
Observations:
First migrating hawk during the morning was a single BW at 10:48am EST.
Slow morning and most of the day for that matter. Bulk of BW came through
within 5 minutes between 1:55 - 2:05 p.m. EST;
No Bald Eagle since last Sunday's spectacular record-breaking flight.
Two Osprey (2:31 and 3:38 p.m. EST)
Managed to catch sight of 12 hummingbird today, including one that seemed
captivated by its reflection in glass.
